Who is the Sedona Village Business Association well according to their web site SVBA “is an active membership-based organization dedicated to the primary goal of promoting local business growth by providing support, resources, and networking opportunities to all types and sizes of businesses in the Village.” SVBA was established back in 1997.
The Oak Creek Watershed Council according to their web site “Maintaining a standard of excellence for watershed stewardship and preserving the integrity of Oak Creek”. From its headwaters at the top of Oak Creek Canyon to the confluence with the Verde River, Oak Creek is the 50 mile thread that weaves together the fabric of our watershed community, as well as being vital to its economic, recreational and natural future. We invite you to experience the Canyon with a Leave No Trace, Outdoor Ethics in order to continue this legacy for generations to come.
Danielle and I have worked closely with the Sedona Village Business Association for the last year and encourage other Village business’s to join the association. Having organized our own unofficial creek cleanups last summer with local Sedona and Village families we decided to contact the Oak Creek Watershed Council to organize a more official and effective cleanup of our lovely Oak Creek!
So please come and join us for an hour or two cleaning up Oak Creek after the very busy Labor Day weekend. Many visitors will be in town and unfortunately it is guaranteed that many will not pack out their trash. So it is up to us to do our part and help keep this amazing resource clean!!
